My Story

Growing up, my paternal grandfather was an avid genealogist. Every summer, he stayed with us so he could spend his days at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. He was a teacher by trade, intent on passing down our family stories.

To be honest, as a child, I wasn't interested. I don't remember a single story he told me.

It wasn't until years later, while I was navigating the unimaginable—caring for my own terminally ill child who was suffering from seizures—that the past finally found me. My dad handed me a zip drive containing my Great-Great-Grandmother’s journal from the late 1800s.

I opened a random entry and caught my breath. She was writing about her own child, who was also battling severe illness and seizures.

In that moment, she wasn't just a name on a chart; she was a mother standing right next to me. Her words of resiliency and courage gave me the strength I didn't know I had. I realized then that we are never truly alone in our struggles—our ancestors have already walked the path.

I felt the "genealogy bug" bite, and I was hooked. I also felt a deep regret for not listening to my grandfather when I had the chance. I believe that genealogy is more than a paper trail; it is an act of reclamation. Behind every census record, land deed, and ship manifest is a human life that deserves to be remembered and understood.

My approach combines the meticulous precision of a forensic historian with the deep empathy of a storyteller. To provide my clients with the highest standard of accuracy, I backed my two decades of experience with formal academic rigor. I hold an Associate of Applied Science in Family History Research from Brigham Young University-Idaho, where I also earned specialized certificates in:

  • Family History Research

  • Advanced Family History Research

This training allows me to apply the Genealogical Proof Standard to every project, ensuring that your family’s legacy is built on a foundation of verifiable truth.

I needed to find the parents of Mary Green in my family line. I only knew where she was born and her approximate year she was born. Trichelle was able to find her parents with just that little bit of information. She used census records, marriage and death certificates, as well as probate documents and a bill of sale to prove who her parents were.
